Privacy Policy

IDEpilots ("we", "our", or "us") operates the IDEpilots mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account & usage data. When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password. We also collect standard usage events (screens viewed, ideas saved, features tapped) to improve the Service.

Subscription & payment data. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your full payment card details. We do receive confirmation of purchase status (active, expired, cancelled) and a pseudonymous subscriber ID through our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat may collect and process device identifiers and transaction receipts in accordance with their privacy policy.

Clipboard access. When you tap "Copy" on a build prompt the app reads and writes your device clipboard. No clipboard content is transmitted to our servers.

Sharing. When you use the Share feature the app invokes the native system share sheet. We do not receive the destination or content of any share action.

Authentication tokens. We store a secure session token on your device using expo-secure-store (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). These tokens authenticate your requests to our API and are never sent to third parties.

Log data. Our servers automatically record standard HTTP request logs: IP address, browser / OS version, request path, and timestamp. These logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, personalise, and improve the Service
• Verify your subscription entitlements and unlock premium features
• Send transactional emails (e.g. password reset, subscription receipts)
• Monitor for abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates the following third-party providers, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:

• RevenueCat — subscription management and payment receipt validation (privacy policy)
• Apple App Store — in-app purchase processing on iOS (privacy policy)
• Google Play — in-app purchase processing on Android (privacy policy)

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or fraud-prevention purposes. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, or to request a copy of the data we hold about you, email us at privacy@idepilots.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified via an in-app notice or email. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
